Product description
Large leaved lupine (Lupinus polyphyllus)
The Large leaved lupine has beautiful colorful flowers on tall stems. They are loved by pollinators, and you can easily cut a few for a bouquet. Lupine belongs to the Fabaceae family, and like all legumes, it has the ability to create atmospheric nitrogen at its roots and thus improve the soil. He likes sunny places but can also handle partial shade. Choose a place that is sheltered from the wind as it can break heavy flower stalks. The height of an adult plant varies from 50 to 70 cm. Large leaved lupineprefers medium to light soils with a very low lime content. Sow the seeds into the ground from March to April. You can also sow them in August and September for next season. Seeds need light to germinate, so just pat them lightly into the ground and don't bury them. Large leaved lupine blooms from June to August, however, most of the lupins bloom only in the second year after planting.
